3rd Intermission

A lot of really terrible things happened this week, and some set the sport back big time. From the buffoonery that was the New York Rangers Pride Night, to Katey Stone, to some more mediocre and not on the same level but still bad things like injuries it wasn’t a fun week. On the flip side we get to start showing y’all some of the fruits of our labour from the Carnegie Initiative Summit. In this weeks episode we’ve got an interview with Kim Davis the Vice President, Social Impact, Growth Initiatives & Legislative Affairs! Thanks for letting us grace the space between your head top and don’t forget to check out the betstamp app and use the code 3RD when you sign up!

From the Flyers’ Ivan Provorov, to the mishandled exit of Bruce Boudreau and weird injury bug going around the league that’s the chaos that we covered for the week! The really cool thing is that some of the team got to go to the Carnegie Initiative Summit and had a great time!!

I mean there’s also Ken Holland not doing anything to help him and the boring ASG jersey leak. Despite this there was a lot of really cool like we also got around to talking about! S/O to Auston for coming back, the Kraken for mesmerizing us and the triple low five for bringing us joy one last time!

Join us as we start with some Leafs talk discussing the amazing Indigenous Celebration Game jerseys which turns into a fruitful and kinda funny convo about ways to make NHL more inclusive. Then we get into some fun ideas for the All Star Game along with the usual oilers talk just to name a few things!

From his start in hockey as a young player from Toronto to his current tenure as Head Coach of the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones, Jason Payne is a worlds worth of knowledge and stories. In todays episode he took some time out of his busy schedule to share some of his wisdom. Thanks again for joining us coach!

Between a record on the verge being broken by Alex Ovechkin to NHL structure (not the playoffs though, don’t get your hopes up) there are a good few things that may look a little different in the next little while. Listen to Avry and Jason as they go through the list in this weeks episode! They also touch on the World Juniors and Hockey Canada reports as well.

The one where Hockey Night in Canada became Hockey Night in Clearing Kevin Bieksa and the 2011 Canucks Name, yes seriously. Also the one where the Leafs are perfect and everything always goes their way. Listen in to hear Avry, Marsha, and Dave bounce back and forth in a few other things going on around the NHL.
PS: We record on Sundays if you hear a yesterday, first of all no you didn’t LOL. Second, we are taking about the previous Saturday (in this case December 10). We’ll do better!

The one where Avry and Marsha sit down with Julian “the GOAT” McKenzie and discuss the many accolades his career in hockey has brought him thus far. The duo also cover the exciting news in the land of the Leafs aka go Mitch Marner!!!!!!

In this episode we touch on who will still be here and for how long! From Jake Muzzin to Justin Holl to some potential new additions listen in as we talk about the future of this organization and it’s players. We also give a shout out to Zechariah Thomas the GOAT from Oshawa who while playing started a business if more affordable hockey equipment. We love #BlackExcellence !!
