The sixth season of 3rd Intermission is here, and the season-opening episode is a special one! 
Dave, Avry, Troy, and Jason discussed the Leafs' preseason, Kirill Kaprizov getting paid, a banner goof in San Jose, and Troy playing Toronto Jeopardy! 
 
In the second half of the show (begins at 1:00:24 mark), Dave and Avry welcomed one of the most accomplished voices in Canadian sports media, Donnovan Bennett! The guys got into Donnovan's time at The Score/Sportsnet, being able to connect with other Black media voices in Canadian sports and more.

As we get ready to launch season VI of 3rd Intermission, we're getting you prepped with one of our last bits of audio from this past season! While he's now a member of the Winnipeg Jets organization, back when he was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs (AHL), Avry sat down with Isaak Phillips!

Since we're not taping this week, we decided to go into the vault and bring you one of our previously recorded sit-downs from the 2024 Carnegie Summit! 
Last winter, Avry had the chance to sit down with the Director of Hockey for Tennessee State University, Nick Guerriero! Avry and Nick discussed the prospect of an HBCU participating in college hockey, including planning and more! 
 
Update: The TSU Tigers will take the ice in time for the 2026-27 season at the NCAA Division I level.
